propeller - we are the rivers we swim through
we are the rivers we swim through is a performance-lecture that addresses
the disappearance of species and the collapse of the planet’s ecological
infrastructure
elements of performance, video, writing, academic and journalistic research
come together to question and provoke our attitude of separateness. at
the heart of the piece is a desire to find connections between the whirling
data and the delicacy of human decisions. how do we begin to understand
that our own lives depend on other forms of life?
propeller is a performance group working collaboratively around ideas
of ecology, perception and orientation always trying to understand, inhabit
and comment on our contemporary landscape
gillian wylde will be ok
gillian wylde is not a blessed dj. gillian wylde is a mongrel vinyl rotator.
gillian wylde is a spinning verb. gillian wylde plays 33's and 45's in
the home alone bedroom style of a miserable teen
listus - hard. soft
emptying the contents of their handbags and pillows, the couple stand
amongst the rubble of feathers and nails, revealing your stories and fantasies
anonymously and forcing themselves to remember their own. the space created
is a communal one of fragmented and shared confessions and lies, set against
the trial and commitment of two performers
listus is a celebration of friendship and an attempt to measure the un-recordable
depths of their connections

dorchester arts centre
to
launch our residency at dorchester arts centre, piCOt presents digital
text-video art works from peter atha, and the debut of pingo, curated
by esther yarnold
peter atha’s video works are quirky, humorous and accessible. the
artist investigates how text and video interact and how the reader / viewer
translates this when it is occurring in culturally familiar spaces. peter
has shown internationally, at the ICA in london and is the recipient of
an ArtsAdmin bursary for digital art
